Patrick A. DeAmelia, Branch Manager
 Kitchen
and bath design veteran Patrick DeAmelia takes function into account first, when laying
out your kitchen. He strives for the design that is compatible with your lifestyle.
His almost 40 years in the
business has left Patrick with a wealth of knowledge on the industry. He has written
several articles on current kitchen trends, showroom design and management.
Patrick is a member of the
National Kitchen and Bath Association, the National Association of Home Builders, the
National Association of the Remodeling Industry, the American Society of Interior
Designers, and The American Institute of Architects.
Relaxation for Patrick is
found in a good match of doubles tennis or while restoring and collecting antique autos.
Dave Whitaker, District Manager
 Dave
Whitaker realizes that going the extra mile at the beginning of your project will save a
lot of time and effort later. He does it right the first time. Dave strengthens the Modern
Kitchens team with his experience in management and appliances, and creatively compliments
it with his kitchen and bath design knowledge.
Dave is a member of the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) and has been
recognized for his outstanding performance by Whirlpool and General Electric. He has a
degree in business management from I.C.S. in Scranton, PA and has received industry
schooling from the Timberlake Factory.
In his spare time, he enjoys the Upstate New York area through hiking and golf, and
loves reading and cheering for his favorite baseball team!
James Marrocco, District Manager
 Meet
James Marrocco. His design philosophy is simple: A kitchen should be workable with your
cooking style, as well as attractive to the eye.
Jim attended Wood-Mode
Cabinetry's Training and Advanced Design Schools. Since 1984, Jim has been continually
recognized by this cabinet company as a member in their Silver Star Club (1984 - 1986) and
Gold Star Club (1987 - present.)
Robert Schanck, Builder
Sales/Designer
 Robert
Schanck believes that understanding the key to superior design. By understanding
what the customer is looking for and by making sure the customer understands the
functions and aesthetics of each cabinet, Robert puts his 12 years of kitchen
and bath industry experience to good use.
In addition to his experience with contractor sales, remodeling, and supervising
crews, Robert spent 12 years as a New York state certified building inspector,
verifying that new and remodeling work met current building codes. This
background, in addition to his Wood-Mode design training, enables him to better
review plans, creating more effective space planning for his customers.
In his spare time, Robert balances camping and traveling with his 23-year
commitment to the Castleton Volunteer Ambulance squad.
Ronald Bortell, Sales/Designer
Ronald brings 35
years of kitchen and bath design experience plus 18 years of home remodeling
experience to Modern Kitchens. His design philosophy is to create unique spaces
while keeping in mind functionality and resale opportunity. Ronald is a member
of the National Kitchen and Bath Association.
